ACCOUNT FAQ

How can I pay?

  • We accept all major credit cards, debit cards and pre-paid cards.

  • You can pay online

  • You can call us at 603-941-9041 and use our automated payment lines.

  • You can go on Autopay!

When is my Payment Due?

  • We bill on the first of each month.

I'm Ready to Move Out of my Unit - Do You Require Advanced Notice?

  • Advanced notice would be great, if you can - but, we don't require it. However please note, if you move out and do not notify us, you may be billed for another month - especially if you leave the unit locked. Please be sure all of your belongings are removed, and leave the unit UNLOCKED and unlatched - this will confirm to us that the unit is indeed vacant and ready for a new tenant.

I Can't Find the Key to my Unit - What Can I do?

  • We can cut the lock for you, for a fee. For reasons we hope you can understand, we do not allow bolt cutters or other cutting tools to be used on the property by anyone other than our personnel. Please keep in mind, if you do try to remove your own lock, you can be held liable for any damage done to the latch or door. Call us, it's better that way.

Do You Pro-Rate My Final Month?

As a general rule, the storage industry does not prorate the final month. If you have any questions regarding your unit and rental agreement, please don't hesitate to contact us. We strive to achieve the best customer experience possible. One way we can achieve this is by having an open dialogue!

GENERAL FAQ

What is Self-Storage and How Does it Work?

  • 603 Storage provides a variety of storage unit sizes and types available to the public for personal, business, and recreational storage use. If you're looking to clear up some much needed space at home or finding yourself with limited to no space to hold much needed business items, 603 Storage is for you. We offer clean, secure storage solutions at competitive prices.

What do I need in order to Rent?

  • We require a valid photo ID and a credit/debit/prepaid card for payment to rent with us.

  • We also require that all renters sign our storage agreement - one renter per agreement/unit only.

  • If you have questions regarding which size is right for you, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will help you determine that. Each unit on our website has a description using household room sizes as an example, as a guide. In general, go larger than you might think, if you can afford to - and leave yourself room to access your belongings. Most people believe they will not need to access their unit frequently, but often find themselves needing something unexpectedly.

Who Else Has Access to my Storage Unit?

  • The unit you rent is secured with your lock and your key - only you can decide who has access to your unit and who doesn't. We do not allow anyone but the person that signed the Rental Agreement access. We feel this only adds to the security of your items. However, it's your decision if you want to divulge your unit number and key to anyone of your choosing - as long as you're comfortable with them accessing your unit. We cannot be held accountable if you chose to give someone else access to your unit.

Will My Rate Increase?

  • At 603 Storage, we do not believe in constantly raising your rate! We offer a 9 month rate lock on most rentals. Some restrictions do apply. For instance, if you reserved a unit through a third party company that charges us fees (i.e. Sparefoot), or initially rented at a discounted rate, or are late with your payments more than one time, your rate may increase before the 9 months.

What's The Difference between Drive-up and Temperature Controlled Units?

  • Temperature Controlled Units: This type of storage is perfect for items sensitive to fluctuating temperatures. These units are designed to stay above 55 degrees and below 85 degrees Fahrenheit (in normal conditions - we cannot guarantee this in power outages/etc.). While slightly more expensive than drive-up units, the few dollars you spend in extra rent could save you thousands of dollars in damage down the road. Common items susceptible to hot and cold weather include: wooden furniture, books and comics, electronics, antiques, vintage drum kits and other older, valuable instruments, artwork, and other items. If you're unsure about the type of storage you need, contact us.

  • Drive-Up Storage Units: Drive-up storage is perfect for those looking for quick, easy access to their items. Drive straight up to your unit, park, unload. While this is often the most convenient method of storage, it offers slightly less protection from the elements than temperature controlled storage. However, Drive-Up is easily the most popular form of storage, mostly for it's quick access. Just because it doesn't have the level of temperature control offered by other storage types doesn't mean it's any less secure, clean, and reliable.

How long can I rent my unit?

  • Rent your unit for as long (or short) as you need! We offer month-to-month leases and bill in one-month increments. Our goal is to make your storage experience as simple and easy as possible.

Can I Rent a Unit Over The Phone or Online?

  • Yes you can! Many other facilities require you to show up on their schedule, fill out a lot of paperwork right in the middle of a move, and generally waste your time - we don't do that. We have a seamless one-call-does-it-all move-in system that makes it easier and faster. We can even rent you a unit via text message or email! Our website is another great option for a fully contactless rental experience.

Are My Items Insured While Being Stored At Your Facility?

  • Renting a storage unit is similar to renting an apartment. The same way your landlord doesn't insure your personal belongings, we don't insure your items either. However, we do offer an excellent and affordable Insurance program that you can purchase through us. Please note: if you have homeowner's or renter's insurance, your property may be covered, but you should double check with your agent.

What do I do if my unit is frozen shut in the winter?

  • Living in NH, this can happen occasionally. Please do not chip ice around the door as this may result in damage to the unit. Never use a heat source on the unit. Please call us and we will assist you.

What Forms of Payment do You Accept?

  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Debit or Prepaid Card. We also accept payments online once you are a tenant. We also offer Automatic billing which most of our customers prefer!

Steps:

  1. Disassemble furniture as much as possible and wrap the legs of tables and beds in a blanket or foam wrap.

  3. Wrap mattresses in a plastic mattress bag.

  4. Wrap blankets or sheets around couches and wrap foam around any wood legs.

  5. Condition any leather items, like furniture or clothing, with a leather conditioner.

  6. Pack books on their back, not on their spine, in small boxes.

  11. Wash all linens and place them inside totes with cedar chips or silicone packets.
